I grew up in James Herriot country, rural Yorkshire, and was inspired by reading his veterinary novels as a young child. Growing up with cats, dogs and horses sparked a real passion for veterinary medicine, which I was determined to pursue from a young age.
My goal with every patient visit is to provide a knowledgeable, friendly and trustworthy service, and to ensure that every pet gets the caring treatment (and treats where appropriate!) they deserve.
I am married to Jane, and my family includes two children and two cats. Louis, a loyal and loveable companion and Mitten, a long haired, later edition to the family, who was rescued from a dustbin in Brentford. Mitten has a feisty temperament hidden beneath her beauty, and she keeps both my family and the surgery staff on their toes when she comes to stay!
After graduating from Cambridge University in 1991 and spending two years at a mixed practice (seeing dogs and cats, cows, horses, goats, deer and even the occasional zebra from the travelling circus!) in Cambridgeshire, I decided to specialise in small animal practice (dogs, cats and family pets) where I felt I could give the best care, joining Young Veterinary Partnership in 1993. I am a partner in the practice.
I have a dedicated interest in all aspects of surgery, including bone and joint surgery (orthopaedics) and regularly perform more complex surgeries such as TTA cruciate (knee) surgeries.
Fulvia graduated from University of Teramo in Italy. Following graduation Fulvia has worked in specialist veterinary referral centres in Rome, before relocating to the UK. Fulvia has a particular interest in internal medicine, especially gastroenterology and endoscopy, and emergency medicine.
“Nicky graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2012 and worked for 5 years in Australia before relocating to the UK. She has worked all over the UK, from Newcastle to Cornwall, before finally settling in London. She has always had a passion for animals and attempted to save every helpless or injured animal that came her way as a child. It seemed inevitable that she would end up in this profession. That may explain the 5 cats her family own back in Australia, ranging from a three-legged Ragdoll to a Maine Coon with deformed elbows.
Nicky’s passions in the veterinary industry includes Small Animal Surgery, and she hopes to complete an Advanced Certificate in this area to hone her skills. She also loves facilitating the bond between owner and pet, and takes great satisfaction in developing good rapport with clients and their furbabies. One of the highlights of her career will always be delivering multiple puppies and kittens by caesarean section when she worked for a busy breeding clinic in Australia. During one such procedure, Nicky was delivering puppies by caesarean and she realised part way through the surgery that she had, in fact, delivered the mother by caesarean a few years earlier – that was magical.”
I graduated from Cambridge University in 2022 and working with Young’s is one of my first jobs. I grew up in rural wales and have had a variety of different pets from chickens, rabbits, koi to our most recent addition -a cockapoo, who is certainly the boss of the household! I love the variety that being a vet offers which means there’s never a dull moment! In my spare time I am a keen runner and also enjoy travelling to new countries.
Following my graduation from the Royal Veterinary College in 2020, I went on to work at a small animal practice in East Sussex. Now, after relocating to West London, I have found myself at Young’s!
Growing up I had a variety of pets, from small mammals to horses! From a young age I had my sights set on becoming a vet, after experiencing my own pets requiring various veterinary treatment and feeling in awe of the vets providing their care.
I am enjoying all aspects of general practice currently, and particularly enjoy seeing our feline companions, making their experiences with us as calm & stress-free as possible. In the future I would like to undertake a certificate as to further my knowledge and experience in certain areas of practice, however for now I am enjoying everything equally.
In my free time I enjoy spending time outside, either walking or running, as well as cooking and baking for friends and family!
Following graduation from Cambridge University I have joined the Young Vets team. I have always had a love of animals, from looking after a range of pets at home to working at a farm park when I was younger, all have inspired my veterinary career. A combination of this, along with the constant versatility in the cases each day, made me want to pursue a career in vet medicine. I want to work alongside owners to provide the best support and care for your pets. I grew up in the countryside and outside of work enjoy long walks with my dog and playing netball with friends.

After finishing high school in Poland I’ve embarked on the solo journey to the UK to continue my studies and gain my veterinary surgeon qualifications. I graduated in 2022 from the University of Surrey and then landed a position here at Young’s. I have a great interest and soft spot for all things feline! This led me to my recent adoption of Frances, she was left on the doorstep of one of our surgeries with her 3 kittens. Her kittens were quickly adopted and I couldn’t resist taking her home.
As a new graduate I’m still discovering my further interests within the field, but I’ve been hugely enjoying the surgical aspect so far and plan to continue in this direction. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends at various music events and enjoy travelling.
Dr Vittoria Lodigiani dvm MRCVS
Since gaining my veterinary qualifications at Milan University,I have worked across general practice, oncology and soft tissue centers in both Italy and Milan before coming to London. During my time at these centers I took part in innovative surgeries and medical management of cases.
During high school, I volunteered for 5 years at a local animal shelter. I helped to manage cases, build relationships with patients and ensuring their comfort was always a priority during their stay. This inspired me to pursue a career within the veterinary industry from a young age.
In the future I would like to return to an animal shelter, to help those less fortunate, where veterinary care is limited.

I have recently graduated from the Royal Veterinary College and am thrilled to have joined the team.
I have grown grown up with all manner of pets, most memorably having hand raised four ducklings who ruled the hours – sleeping in the bath! I am passionate about providing the best care for every patient and building great client relationships. I am enjoying all aspects of veterinary medicine currently, but am excited to discover my niche areas of interests in the future.
Outside of work I enjoy swimming, cooking and travelling.
