Microchips are the size of a grain of rice and are placed quickly and easily by injection just under the skin. They can protect your precious pet against loss or theft and can be easily read by a scanner through the fur. Local vet surgeries play a vital role in reuniting worried owners with their pets on the rare occasions when they become separated from one another. Equally if you do find a lost animal please do bring it into the surgery and if microchipped we will do our best to help it find its way home.
As of 6th April 2016, it has become a legal requirement for all dogs over 8 weeks of age to be microchipped in England and Wales. It a quick procedure that can be done easily in a normal appointment, just ask our friendly team when booking your pets appointment.
